Cecile

I am a Juniorprofessor for Algebraic Geometry at the Faculty of Mathematics at Ruhr-University Bochum.

My research focus lies in birational geometry. Some of the objects and questions that I like are:

  • groups of automorphisms of complex algebraic varieties,
  • various cones (nef, movable, big, effective) providing notions of positivity for divisors on complex projective varieties,
  • the Morrison-Kawamata-Totaro cone conjecture,
  • techniques of the Minimal Model Program,
  • positivity properties of the (co)tangent sheaves and their Chern classes,
  • families of rational curves deforming in a (most often Fano) variety.

Before coming to Bochum, I obtained my Ph.D. in February 2023 at Université Côte d'Azur under the supervision of Andreas Höring.

From May 2023 to September 2024, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the group led by Gavril Farkas at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

I am the Mercator fellow of the SFB-TRR 195 Symbolic Tools in Mathematics and their Applications. Congratulations to the PIs for securing this third extension!

I'm an associated foreign member of the ANR project Groups in Algebraic Geometry (GAG).
